Creation Climbing Wall
On our Vision Day we spent the morning at Creation Climbing Wall learning how to be Rock stars! Our instructors, John and Rhea helped us have a great morning bouldering and climbing high. They even let us have the party room for our lunch! Rock on dudes! After we'd finished at Creation, we took a short walk into Moseley where we visited Moseley Park. The warden Rowena very helpfully opened the Ice house to show us what an outdoor freezer of 200 years ago looked like! Verty cool. Everyone then spent the rest of the day in Moseley Park exploring and enjoying the surroundings before we returned back to base!

The History of Dance Workshop
This year, Miss Hobbs shared her love of dance with children from years 2-6. They looked back in history at some of the stranger ideas about dance along with old fashioned rules for dances. They began with a modern Azonto workshop and felt the African vibes as they moved to the 2-step beat. Treading back in time, pupils attempted the different styles of circle dances; from the medieval promenade, to Elizabethan country dance, the Greek Zorba and the Hokey Cokey. Children paired up to rehearse steps and acrobatics for rock and roll and an English Country dance. They were fabulous and danced off their feet!

VR & 3D Modelling
The day was split into two halves. In the morning the children learnt how to model in a 3D application called Tinker Cad. They all manage to model a key with their names on. Finally the afternoon arrived were they all got to experience playing VR FunHouse using the new HTC Vive VR Headset.

Arts and crafts
Miss Taylor and Mrs Jutley ran an arts and crafts session. We chose to look at the work of Eric Carle and Henri Matise as inspiration of our collage pictures. We began the morning looking at different kinds of collage art. We talked about the importance of a palette of colours which complement each other. We looked at different methods of creating interesting papers to collage with. Then we got messy! We painted, scratched, splashed and printed a variety of different papers so that our collage pictures would be more interesting. After that we looked at some more inspiring collage art and created a design for what we would make. We chose form abstract, nature, animals, rainbows and our names. Once all the paper was dry we were able to start cutting and creating our collage art. We placed the pieces first so that we knew they were the correct size and that we liked the composition before sticking them down using PVA glue. We added some buttons for decorations. We had a lovely day, it was really calm in our room and very relaxing. We loved painting, printing, cutting, composing and creating!

The trip to Molineux
The trip to Molineux was sensational. We had a fantastic tour guide throughout the day and we learned that the first ever match the Wolves played was against Aston Villa in 1888. He told us lots of other brilliant facts and figures and showed us their amazing state-of-the-art museum to wrap up the tour. All in all, we had a bucket-load of fun: seeing the changing rooms, sitting in the dug-outs and even standing pitch side. To round it off, Mr Ricketts and Mr Brazier gave us a quiz to test our football knowledge. What can I say apart from - It was a Vision Day trip to remember.
