Extra-Curricular Clubs - Autumn Term 2021
At Wheelers we aim to provide an excellent programme of extra-curricular and enrichment activities. We are excited to announce a range of after school clubs taking place this term. It is important that we give opportunities to all pupils to learn new skills, enhance their talents, and increase their independence. We look forward to sharing the fun OOHL experiences offered to the children at Wheelers Lane Primary School.
Autumn half term 1 extra-curricular clubs run by staff will run from Monday 27th September 2021 to Friday 22nd October. Some staff run club dates will differ from these so please check the information sent out on ParentMail. Clubs run by external providers may be different, please check the information provided on the letters sent out. If you have any questions, then please do not hesitate to contact the school office
To apply for a club space run by a member of school staff please check your ParentMail and select the clubs that your child is interested in. Children will then be selected at random to attend their chosen club if there is capacity in that club. A message will be sent out via ParentMail if your child has been given a space on their choice of club. Our clubs are normally oversubscribed so places in clubs are not guaranteed, please bear this in mind when applying.
External club letters give details of how to book/pay for your child’s place with the Club Provider
Once you have secured a place on a club run by a member of school staff please make sure that they attend regularly. If sessions are missed or if your child changes their mind about attending the club, please can you inform the office so we can offer the club place to children on the waiting list.
We offer a wide variety of clubs to ensure that our children are able to develop their talents and have a go at new activities. To ensure a fairer process, we request that parents do not re-book their children onto the same clubs as last term or take up more than 1 club per child, to give other children a chance to experience them.
Please see the Club Schedule for full details of locations and collection points. Collection points vary between the small hall door exit and the main entrance exit. Please wait near to the picking up points and maintain distance from other parents. The Club leader will release the children out to you. Certain days will have more clubs being released at the same time, please be patient while the club leaders dismiss the children.
We do not run clubs for EYFS children until the summer term. This ensures that our new children have time to settle into school.
