Week 1   Welcome back to school and a happy new year to all of our families! The children have settled back into their busy routine fantastically well and are working to high standards consistently. Our curriculum newsletters for spring term have been sent out via parent mail- check them out to see what our plans for this term are. In English, we have begun to look at "There's a boy in the girls' bathroom", by Louis Sachar. Our writing over the coming weeks will focus on the journey of the protagonist of the story: Bradley Chalkers. In Maths, we are enhancing our multiplication skills. We aim to be able to multiply 4 digits by 2 digits. Any practice that you can do on this at home will be greatly appreciated. We will also be incorporating a range of word problems and reasoning skills throughout this topic.  We are looking forward to our wow starter day which will be taking place next Wednesday. Children will be immersing themselves into American culture. They can come dressed as an "All American" child if they wish to do so. Of course, more adventurous dress up will be amazing!
