Summer 1- Week 3 As it has been SATs week for Year 6 this week, we decided that it would be a good idea to complete our assessment week in Year 5 also. This means that the teachers can use the information from the tests in order to inform planning for the final half term. We are so proud of all of the Year 5 children and they will have noticed that their scores have improved from last time. Well done to all children who have worked so hard and had such a determined attitude to these assessments. In the afternoons, we have been lucky enough to work with Mr Byron using the new chrome books. We are so lucky to have this amazing technology in our school and we thought that it was cool how the teachers could mark our work online. We hope that we get to use these more in the coming weeks. We have also completed another Science experiment in relation to our forces topic. We learnt about two famous scientists: Aristotle and Gallileo, and were trying to see who's theory was correct. Do you think that objects of different masses fall at different rates? Test it out! On Monday, Mrs Sumner talked to us about the role of the House Captains. It is finally Year 5's chance to sign up to apply for these roles! The sign up sheet was on Miss Bevan's door all week and the shortlisted candidates will find out further information next week.
