It seems that we have all had a restful and relaxing half term. Many of you have been busy spending time completing your holiday homework challenges. The staff are blown away by the effort and creativity. It is so pleasing to see such inspirational models, posters and fact files.
The children came back with lots of energy and enthusiasm to start off our Rights Respecting Week. We have spent a lot of time looking at what rights children are entitled to, how the children can respect their rights and the rights of other children and how the duty bearers (adults) will help them. It has been very interesting to learn about the rights and sometimes a little challenging too! We particularly enjoyed looking at the story of Hansel and Gretel to explore which rights they were being denied and how the story could be adapted so that they did get their rights.
